Retreat Details
March is the perfect time to recommit to your January goals or reframe them. Learn more about the transformative elements you’ll experience and what you can expect when you step into this space of healing and growth.
Somatics: Embodied Awareness
Somatic movement, which focuses on bringing awareness to the body’s sensations, helps release long-held tension, pain, and trauma, allowing participants to reconnect with their bodies in a deep, nurturing way.
In the Ritual of Release, somatic exercises will guide you to slow down and listen to your body’s messages. The goal is not to push or strain but to invite awareness into every muscle, joint, and breath. Through gentle movements and body scans, you’ll begin to notice areas where you might be holding stress or emotion, and, in turn, release what no longer serves you.
This practice cultivates a deep sense of self-awareness and empowers you to cultivate better movement patterns in your daily life, leading to a reduction in stress and an increase in vitality.
Yoga Nidra: The Sleep of the Yogi
Yoga nidra, often referred to as “yogic sleep,” is a deeply restorative practice that induces a state of conscious relaxation. In this state, the body is fully relaxed, while the mind remains awake and aware. This practice allows you to work through emotional blockages, heal trauma, and release deeply held fears or limiting beliefs. The beauty of yoga nidra is its ability to facilitate deep rest and rejuvenation without the need for physical exertion.
By entering this meditative state, you can awaken to new insights and find emotional clarity that will serve you long after the retreat has ended.
Contrast Therapy: Invigorating the Mind and Body
Contrast therapy, which involves alternating between hot and cold temperatures, is an ancient healing practice that can boost circulation, enhance detoxification, and alleviate muscle tension. At the Ritual of Release retreat, participants will engage in guided contrast therapy sessions that involve alternating between saunas, or jacuzzis and cold plunges.
- You’ll notice:
- A boost of energy and mood with up to a 250% increase in dopamine (happy hormones) and up to 530% increase of noradrenalins (focus and alert hormone)
- Improved circulation
- Reduction in inflammation and swelling
- Improved sleep
The benefits of contrast therapy go beyond the physical—it’s also a powerful way to build mental resilience. The practice of moving between hot and cold environments encourages you to push through discomfort, teaching you to embrace change and uncertainty with grace. It’s a potent reminder that life is filled with contrasts, and by learning to navigate these extremes, we can cultivate greater inner strength and equilibrium.
The Burning Bowl Ceremony: Letting Go of the Old
This powerful ritual invites participants to let go of what no longer serves them—be it old habits, limiting beliefs, or emotional baggage.
At the beginning of the ceremony, each participant is invited to write down anything they wish to release on a piece of paper. It could be a negative thought pattern, a past relationship, a fear, or even an outdated identity. Once the writing is complete, the paper is burned in a fire as a symbolic gesture of release. As the paper dissolves in the flames, so too do the old stories and attachments that have been holding you back.
The Burning Bowl Ceremony is not just a ritual but an act of profound liberation. As the smoke rises into the air, participants are invited to step into a new chapter, free from the weight of the past.
