#IYPOW (Inspire Yoga Pose of the Week): Eagle Pose (view video demonstration)
Eagle Pose (in Sanskrit, “Garudasana”) is a beautiful pose that challenges the practitioners physical and mental balance as well as it strengthens and stretches the whole body. Here’s what Inspire Yoga teacher in training, Dena (pictured) had to say about the pose…
“Garuda is the mythical bird that could transform himself to defeat and devour the poisonous creatures placed in his path to prevent him from fulfilling his destiny. Through my yoga practice and especially in my yoga teacher training – I have found my “Garuda” spirit. I can change myself, my beliefs, and my behaviors that have been with me for most of my life. Your path may get tangled or twisted with obstacles that block your view, but listen to your heart, trust your strength, and take a leap of faith to soar with the eagles.”
