    BEGINNERS 5-WEEK Sessions

This class is especially designed for complete beginners. It is an excellent, structured way of getting to know the basics of Hatha Yoga. We will take you through the fundamentals of alignment and breathing which will come into immediate play in your everyday life. You will also learn and practice basic stretches, balancing poses, strengthening exercises and relaxation techniques.

You can begin to experience for yourself some of the benefits that can arise from practicing yoga such as increased flexibility, strength, cardiovascular and digestive health, as well as a sense of well-being and relaxed awareness.

Class sizes are limited so that you will receive lots of personal attention and can gain the skills and confidence to move into the ongoing classes when you are ready. Many students will take the beginners session over and over again for as long as they need to or want to before moving into the all-levels classes.

Next session Next session begins September 15 - Mondays 5:15 to 6:30 PM

    COST: $65 for 5-week session

    Yoga Mala Fall equinox event

Please join us for a celebration of the Fall Equinox with a "yoga mala" of 108 sun salutions on Friday, September 19th from 6-8:00 p.m. The ritual journey of a yoga mala is a moving prayer to initiate change, and is a profoundly transformative practice!

Do not be intimidated -- you don't have to be in super duper shape to participate. There are several options offered, and you can rest as you need to. This will be a great way to jumpstart your practice if it has lapsed a bit over the summer, or to take an ongoing practice to the next level. All levels are welcome.

    Friday, September 19, 6-8:00 p.m

Through a warm-up sequence that will target target shoulder and upper back opening, as well as free the pelvis and hips, we will learn to prepare the spine for backbending. Second, provide us with your yoga testimonial. We are constantly inspired by your dedication and committment, and would love to hear your feedback on how your yoga practice is treating you. Please tell us the ways in which yoga improves your life, or anything you would like to share about your experience since you've been practicing yoga with us. If you're not sure where to begin, here are some questions to answer:

    • How did you feel BEFORE you started yoga? Did you have pain or limitations? Physical, mental, or emotional?
    • How do you feel now? After class? In general throughout the day?
    • Do you experience noticeable physical benefits? ie. back pain improved, an injury healed, you are sleeping better, or have lost weight?
    • Do you experience more subtle benefits? ie. better relationships with family or co-workers, you feel more cheerful, you are using your breath to calm you down and deal with difficult situations, etc.
    • What has yoga brought to your life?

By the way, since many of you are using Unlimited Yoga passes (good for you!) you may give your free class pass to a friend or family member who might benefit from yoga in their life, as you have. Give the gift of wellbeing!
